★The Little Red Hen: This a story about the Little Red Hen, who worked hard to plant and harvest wheat, and baked bread.

★The Lion and The Mouse is a classic Aesop's fable. We can learn from this story that mightiness and weakness are relative; we can not ignore weak functions.

★The Little Horse Crosses the River tells us that genuine knowledge comes from real practice and we should not fear the things we cannot predict. Meanwhile we should encourage our children to practice facing challenges themselves and accumulate life experience little by little.

★Wisdom is Stronger than Force tells us that wisdom is the best weapon, rather than violence. Remember to use your wisdom when you are confronted with difficulties next time, so that you can overcome any situation!

★The Hare and The Tortoise is a classic story for children. The Hare lost the race because of his pride. This story tells us that pride will come before the fall.

★Brave Little Hedgehog tells us that we should not judge people by their appearance. Every one has their own strong points. We should be good at discovering others’ merits, rather than judging them by their appearance.

★Polliwogs Looking for Mom is a very interesting fairy tale. The illustrator depicted this story with unique features by applying the style of traditional Chinese painting. In this story, you can appreciate the charm of this traditional technique.

great story and beautiful pictures

Poorly translated, somewhat bizarre

Though the graphics are great, the stories are bizarre and read as if they were from Engrish.com; clearly these are the weird fables from Chinese tradition where characters die and horrible things are threatened. The "moral" at the end of the story that is laid out word-for-word is the weirdest part -- again, echoes of some sort of weird translation from a Chinese folk tale, but just very very odd. I mean, come on: don't use the word "kill" in a Children's book, please (e.g. lion and the mouse) --- now I have to explain killing to my kid. Just great. UPDATE: now there are 9 poorly-translated stories instead of 6. Just great.
